Welcome to the Compass Contract Administration and Grievance Committee website!

Our committee is responsible for handling contractual disputes between pilots and the company as well as assisting pilots who have questions regarding the contract.  If you have questions regarding our contract or if you believe that the company has acted against the contract and have attempted to resolve the issue, then we are your first point of contact.  We always do everything we can to try and correct an issue before it happens, but should that not be possible then it becomes our job to seek a remedy for the pilot.

This process goes through several phases.  Once a pilot makes contact with the committee (by going to this link or e-mailing the committee at cpzcontract@alpa.org), a member of the committee will research the issue and, as necessary, communicate with the pilot and the company to attempt to resolve an issue.  If that is unsuccessful, an issue is then brought up at our regular monthly meeting with the company.  If we are unable to come to an agreement during these discussions, then the issue can be forwarded on to begin the formal grievance process.  It is always the goal of the committee to resolve an issue without filing a grievance if possible, but should things advance to that stage then the committee works with the MEC and the ALPA Representation team to move that process forward.

Throughout this process, the committee continues to be the point of contact for the pilot and to see his or her issue through to resolution.
