Hello Compass Pilots!

My name is Curtis Langstraat and I am Chairman of the Compass Airlines ALPA Retirement and Insurance Committee. I'm a PHX based Captain and live in San Tan Valley, AZ with my wife and children. Prior to aviation I spent 3 years in public and private sectors of accounting. I am a Certified Public Accountant and have a master’s degree in accounting with an emphasis in taxation.

A lot of the Retirement and Insurance Committee's time is spent as an intermediary working with members of the Compass pilot group and our contacts at Trans States Holdings. This could be things such as an individual with questions about what may or may not be covered by insurance or something that affects everyone, such as open enrollment issues.

We also try to meet with Trans States HR employees regularly to go over 401(k) performance. In those meetings we typically cover the costs, performance and risks of the investment options in our company 401(k) plan.

Please keep in mind we are a resource here to answer questions and cannot legally offer "advice" as to what options, investments or insurance, may be best for you as an individual. Also, if you are dealing with our friends in the home office please remember to always conduct yourself with absolute professionalism.

Also, if you haven't done so yet, please take a few minutes and set up an account on www.paycor.com so you can view your on-line pay stubs and verify their accuracy.
